I stumbled across this magnificent view while touring through the backcountry of Wyoming on my way to Montana.  I had just left Wyoming Whiskey (must visit!) in Kirby, Wyoming and had traveled approximatley 45 miles east on the "The Sweet 16" Highway [16] on my way to Billings that day.  "Awe-inspiring limestone and dolomite rock walls etched and pitted by time reach ever further skyward and make Tensleep Canyon a must-see drive part of The Sweet 16."
 
There is a wonderful Trout Fish Hatchery to visit near the entrance to the canyon, which is swaddled by a shady, lust forest of decidious and conifer trees..
