What better way to start my first F-15 then to use one that was recently repainted in the form of the American flag to celebrate its 10,000 flight hour! Of course, the plane was not flown that long continuously. It's had maintenance and maybe even service upgrades to the airframe and avionics and it's sat idle way more than its been flown (given F15-Cs first started entering service in 1979). But straight math works that out to over 1.14 years of stress and strain on the airframe. It gives me an opportunity to do something uniquely patriotic as well also try my hand at acrylics. This will be a mixed media drawing to get a whiter white ( and maybe redder red as well) for the stars and stripes!!
